The Hearn Avenue Valve Farm consists of six underground butterfly valves that are integral to Sonoma Water’s operations. Valve #2 failed and requires replacement. Given its close proximity to the other buried valves and the inherent challenges associated with excavation and replacement in this area, a comprehensive analysis is necessary to guide the repair efforts efficiently. This project will undertake an assessment of the Hearn Avenue Valve Farm, with a focus on valve selection, piping design/site layout, and constructability. The goal of this study is to ensure that the replacement of Valve #2 is executed effectively, minimizing disruption and maximizing resource efficiency The project is included in the CIty's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
