Roof improvements for the Chris Gatlin Recreation Center. All bids must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond and a certification from a surety company in the amount of 10% of the bid. The successful bidder must provide and pay for a satisfactory surety performance bond in the full amount of the contract or purchase order. The original and four copies of the bid package are required. Bids must include a properly executed non-collusion affidavit. Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope distinctly showing the name of the bidder and marked for the project. Bidders must comply with laws regulating wages on public works, the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Affirmative Action regulations, and submit a list of all stockholders or partners owning more than 10% of interest. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of bids. The council reserves the right to reject any or all bids for defects, non-adherence to specifications, or any reason, to waive informalities, and to sever and award all or parts of bids to one or more bidders. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Complete removal and disposal of existing roofing membranes on all roof areas 2. Installation of new plywood roof sheathings where required 3. Installation of new EPDM roofing membrane system over entire roof areas 4. Installation of new flashings around all roof penetrations
