Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Storrs Manfld, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; laboratory facility; laboratory facility; and water / sewer project.

The work includes new construction or renovation of existing buildings and spaces including but not limited to research and teaching laboratories, health service buildings, food service facilities, residential buildings, lecture halls and hi-tech classrooms, historical buildings, office spaces, administrative buildings, and athletics facilities. It requires overseeing construction projects to ensure safety, timeliness, and adherence to contract documents, and coordinating multiple trades for all divisions of work, including demolition, hazardous material abatement, earthwork, utilities, concrete and masonry, landscaping, mechanical/HVAC, electrical and plumbing, steel and metals, roofing and siding, glass and glazing, interior finishing, fire systems, data cabling, rigging and fencing, insulation, millwork, graphics and signage, security systems, and lab or medical equipment installation. Proposers must also perform not less than ten percent (10%) of the total contract price with their own forces. Not less than thirty percent (30%) of the total contract price must be awarded to subcontractors certified as Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), with at least ten percent (10%) awarded to Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs); the 10% MBE goal may be included in the 30% SBE goal. Good faith efforts must be demonstrated to meet these goals. Pre-qualification requirements: - Proposers must be prequalified by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) in the specified classification for this program (GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, GROUP B OR C) as of the due date of the Statement of Qualifications. - Proposers should provide three examples of projects within the past ten years, comparable in size, scope, and environment, ideally valued at $1,000,000 or more, with detailed descriptions of the work performed. - Proposers must demonstrate the ability to staff the program with experienced personnel and provide resumes for proposed key personnel such as Project Superintendent and Project Manager. - Miscellaneous required documents include a Supplier Diversity Certificate (if certified) and, for threshold buildings, a valid Major Contractor Registration Certificate as per state law.
