The general nature of work includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of the project. Primary items of work include construction of a new CMU water booster pump station, associated mechanical and electrical components, yard piping, site improvements, roadway frontage improvements, and miscellaneous other items. Sealed bid proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope with identification plainly marked on the outside including project name, bid date and time, "Bid Proposal, Bid Bond and Certificate of Residency" and bidder's name. Each bid proposal must be submitted on the forms prescribed and accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty in an amount equal to ten percent of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond equal to one hundred percent of the amount bid for faithful performance. There will not be a pre-bid meeting or site visit conducted, and bidders are required to conduct a field review of the project area on their own prior to preparing and submitting their bid proposal. Bidders must possess a current set of the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction and the Oregon Standard Drawings. The Contractor must comply with the provisions required by ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.870 (Prevailing Wage Rate). The City may cancel this procurement or reject any bid that does not comply with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause all bids after finding that doing so is in the public interest.
