The work includes the Phase 2 expansion of the Passenger Terminal Parking Lot at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport and related improvements, separated into three bid schedules: C, D, and E. Bid Schedules C and D involve new asphalt pavement on crushed aggregate base, earthwork and subgrade preparation, concrete curbing, sidewalks, curb ramps, painted pavement marking installation and removal, topsoiling and grassing, tree installation and relocation, stormwater system improvements, parking lot lighting improvements, roadway pavement markings, and parking lot signage improvements. Bid Schedule E includes crack sealing, sealcoating of asphalt pavements, and remarking of existing parking areas, to be performed in two phases after the completion of Schedules C and D. Up to 184 parking spaces will be added. No airfield improvements are included, and no access to airfield areas is allowed. Bid documents may reference Schedules A and B, which have already been constructed by others and are not part of this work program. Bidders must submit sealed bids with bid security of five percent of the bid price and are responsible for examining all project requirements. Performance and Payment Bonds, as well as a warranty for one year following acceptance, are required. The contract is contingent on funding from the Federal Aviation Administration. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject bids, defer award, and interpret bids as deemed in its best interest. Compliance with nondiscrimination, Buy American provisions, and federal DBE requirements is mandatory. Bidders are encouraged to supply all required information and attend a pre-bid conference. For contracts of $50,000 or more, affirmative action requirements apply. If the contract or any subcontracts are $1 million or more, equal opportunity compliance reviews are required before award.
