The purpose is to solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors for the renovation of the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired's Library and Resource Center at 395 Azalea Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. The project involves renovating a one-story, 51,558 square foot building and constructing a small 235 square foot addition. Work includes updating all major building systems, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, as well as completing minor site improvements, in accordance with the provided plans and specifications. Substantial Completion of the entire project shall be 365 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement of the Work as specified in the Notice to Proceed, and Final Completion shall be achieved within 30 consecutive calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
