DSA A#: 03-124096 DSA A#: 03-124101 All bids must be made and presented only on the forms provided by the Mountain View School District. Bids will be received at 3320 Gilman Road, El Monte, CA 91732, and will be publicly opened and read aloud at the specified date and location. Project involves Shade Structure at Various locations. Plans are available at ARC, 345 Clinton St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626, after a specific date. Bidders must reserve a bid packet and create an account through ARC's website to access all bid and contract documents. If the project includes work by mechanical, electrical, or plumbing subcontractors holding certain licenses (C-4, C-7, C-10, etc.), those subcontractors must be prequalified, and a list of prequalified subcontractors will be provided. Bidders must ensure all such subcontractors are prequalified. There will be a non-refundable charge for each set of bid documents, and no partial sets are available. A mandatory pre-bid job walk/conference will be held at a specified location, and failure to attend or tardiness can result in disqualification. Questions must be addressed to the architect by the specified deadline. Each bidder and its designated subcontractors must be licensed and qualified to perform the work. The successful bidder must possess a valid Class "B" License at the time of contract award. Contractors and all subcontractors must be registered and qualified for public work under the Labor Code. Monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage laws will be performed by the Labor Commissioner. Each bid must strictly conform to and be responsive to the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities. Bidders must submit a list of designated subcontractors with their bid. The District allows substitution of securities for any moneys withheld to ensure contract performance. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's security in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid price, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety. Separate payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required prior to contract execution. All bonds must be issued by a California admitted surety. Additive or deductive alternates to the base bid will be considered as specified. Each bidder must strive to meet participation goals for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (3%) or make a good faith effort and report actual participation.
