Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Valencia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Sealed proposals are invited for the following items: milling of 6,352 square yards of asphalt, application of 3,176 gallons of asphalt prime coat in place, and installation of 2,125 tons of 19.0mm asphalt wearing course in place. Prevailing wage rates apply to this contract. Liquidated damages of $975 per calendar day will be assessed. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided. For third class cities, a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid, payable to the municipality, must accompany the bid. For other municipal types, this requirement is at the municipality's discretion. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount within 20 days after award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
