This section includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and incidentals required for supply of a complete packaged turbidity, arsenic, iron, and manganese removal system and associated controls, including pressure filter vessels, contact vessels, treatment vessel skids, filter media, header piping, valves, and automatic backwash control system. The packaged pressure filter treatment system shall treat 1,000 gpm of irrigation water for the removal of turbidity, arsenic, iron, and manganese at the specified removal rates under the conditions described in the referenced pilot test report. Treated irrigation water is intended for injection into a local groundwater aquifer as part of the Roza Irrigation District’s aquifer storage and recovery plan. The proposed system will not exceed 100 psig normal operating pressure and will initially consist of twelve 48-inch diameter filters and two 48-inch diameter contact vessels, all with 60-inch high sidewalls, skid mounted for manageable transport. All materials used in the system's manufacture must conform to the specified requirements. The Owner or Owner’s installation contractor is responsible for unloading and installing the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Manufacturers are required to perform a successful pilot study test before bid submission, demonstrating that the proposed equipment meets the specified performance requirements.
