A second mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Interested parties should assemble at the front entrance to the Musical Arts Center, 101 N Eagleson Avenue, Bloomington, Indiana. Bidders that attended the previous pre-bid meeting on March 24, 2026, are not required to attend the April 17th meeting The project is for the Jacobs School of Music Musical Arts Center and involves Theatrical Systems, including the Stage Floor, Stage Automation, and Fly Automation, focusing on design and installation at Indiana University Bloomington. Proposals must be electronically submitted and meet requirements specified in the bidding documents. Each bid must include a completed Minority, Womens and Veterans Business Enterprise Participation Plan, a bid security for 5% of the total bid, and a written drug testing program in compliance with IC 4-13-18. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive irregularities in bidding. Bidders may be considered incomplete if all required documentation is not provided. Attendance at the Pre-bid meeting is mandatory for bidding unless prior facility knowledge can be verified. The theatre (Indiana University’s Musical Arts Center) is a 1400-seat opera house that opened in 1972, with a multi-use stage that accommodates opera, ballet, orchestral, band, choral, jazz, and mixed ensemble performances. The existing stage floor, wagons, turntable, and double-purchase fly system was predominantly installed as part of the original building construction.
