C.L. Smith Elementary School Phase 2 Modernization Project, as per the contract documents including the drawings and specifications. Bidders must obtain a set of Bid and Contract Documents prior to bid opening or their bid will be rejected as non-responsive. The lowest bid will be determined on the amount of the base bid only. Instructions to bidders include that bids must be sealed and filed at the Facilities Office at the address specified. No bid will be accepted after the designated time. Facsimile copies of the bid will not be accepted. Bids may be opened immediately after the deadline or at a later time at the Owner's discretion. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required at the stated date and location. Pre-qualification requirements: This contract is subject to prequalification. If a bidder is not prequalified, the Owner will not accept the bid. Any subcontractors listed for work requiring C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must have current prequalified status with the Owner. Prequalification applications are available at pqbids.com. Proposals from contractors that are not prequalified will not be accepted or considered by the District. For projects over $25,000, contractors or subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 to perform public work and must provide proof of registration.
