Furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of the 2026 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) resurfacing improvements to Oak Street and New Street in the City of Omega, Georgia. All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. must meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or delete from the contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. Pre-qualification requirements: All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Omega in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work. The successful bidder must promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds each equal to 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount. All bidders must receive a bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified; bids from non-certified bidders will not be considered. The contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or be approved in writing prior to the bid being opened by the City of Omega. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the City of Omega must be submitted with the bid. Specifications may be obtained for a fee from Statewide Engineering, Inc. Specifications are also on file for view at the City of Omega, City Hall. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. must meet Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications, 2021 Edition and applicable Supplemental Specifications, 2024 Edition, as well as any special provisions contained within the contract.
