The project is for resurfacing improvements to Oak Street and New Street under the Fiscal Year 2026 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) in the City of Omega, Georgia. The work includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of the resurfacing improvements. All work must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Omega in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required. Bids must be delivered to the designated address and received by the specified time. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, as well as all applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions, will be applicable. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening. All bidders must receive the bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified; bids from non-certified bidders will not be considered. Pre-qualification requirements: The Contractor must be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration, or be approved in writing prior to the bid opening by the City of Omega. A copy of the Contractor’s "Notice of Contractor Qualification" from GDOT or an approval letter from the City of Omega must be submitted with the bid.
