The project has an incentive and disincentive clause to ensure portions of the roadway are reopened before school resumes in the fall. Project Location: The project is located in Monarch Boulevard and Castle Pines Parkway - in Castle Pines North Metropolitan District, City of Castle Pines, Colorado. Refer to the Construction Drawings for the exact location. Scope of Work: Work is divided into two (2) bid schedules. Schedule A includes replacement of approximately 435 linear feet of DIP water line in Monarch Boulevard. Work includes installation of new 12", 16", and 20" C900 DR14 PVC water lines, gate valves, connections to existing water lines, and abandoning the existing water lines in place. Contractor will need to coordinate closely with the City for project sequencing and traffic control phasing. Refer to the Construction Drawings for more detailed information. Schedule B includes replacement of approximately 3,056 linear feet of DIP water line in Castle Pines Pkwy. Work includes installation of new 16" C900 DR18 PVC water line, gate valves, fire hydrant assemblies, water services, connections to existing water lines, and abandoning the existing water line in place. This schedule also includes two (2) short HDD bores. Refer to the Construction Drawings for more detailed information. The City will accept questions from bidders up to 3:00 PM on Friday, April 3rd, 2026. The City will produce an addendum responding to all questions by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7 th, 2026, if needed. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, as part of the Contract, insurance certificates in the amount specified in the General Conditions, a Performance, Payment, Maintenance and Warranty Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, said bond to be issued by a responsible corporate surety approved by the City, and which shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Construction Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all materials and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the Contractor.
