Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Roosevelt, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Work includes, but is not limited to, approximately: 15 inlet repairs, 15 inlet frames and grates, 11 inlet eco curb pieces, 25 cubic yards of test holes, 10 manhole repairs, 14 manhole frames and covers, 4 doghouse manholes, 6 sewer main joint repairs, 26 linear feet of PVC sanitary sewer main, 95 linear feet of PVC sanitary sewer lateral, 10 sanitary cleanouts, 8 sewer lateral connections, 330 linear feet of concrete vertical curb, 810 linear feet of concrete vertical curb and gutter, 272 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 222 square yards of concrete driveway repair, 55 square yards of HMA driveway repair, 5 square yards of stone driveway repair, 4 speed humps, 9 square yards of detectable warning surface, 14,245 square yards of pavement milling, 395 square yards of HMA pavement repair, 1,440 gallons of tack coat, 1,810 tons of HMA surface course, 230 tons of HMA leveling course, signage, and other incidentals. Bids shall be submitted on the provided forms and in accordance with the specifications in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Bid documentation must be obtained from the Borough Engineer by registering and paying the required documentation fee. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the bid being deemed incomplete and rejected. Bidders must comply with the Local Public Contracts Law, Prevailing Wage Act, P. L. 1975, c.127, N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq., N.JA.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq., Affirmative Action, and all requirements set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms, submitted in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project, addressed to the Borough Clerk, and accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount (minimum $500, maximum $20,000). All surety bonds must be provided by companies listed on the Federal Treasury List. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of the bids. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept a bid which best serves the interest of the Borough. Contractors must maintain all documents related to the contract for five years from the date of final payment and make them available to the Comptroller's office upon request. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Any request for such interpretations shall be made in writing to the Engineer and will be given consideration ifit is received at least 10 days prior to the date scheduled for the opening ofbids.
