SPRING TREE PLANTING PROGRAM. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid. This may be a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Town of Chelmsford. Bids will be received at the DPW Facility, 9 Alpha Road, Chelmsford, MA until 4/14/26 at 10:00 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Town of Chelmsford reserves the right to waive any informality and/or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Any questions regarding this Bid should be addressed by Monday, April 6, 2026. Any questions regarding this Bid should be addressed to DPW Director, Christine Clancy, by email: (cclancy@chelmsfordma.gov) The Location of the Work to be done is described in the project description. The Contractor will furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item will not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but will include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item. A. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and services necessary for, and incidental to performing all operations in connection with furnishing, delivery, and installation of trees complete as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. B. The scope of work in this section includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Locate, purchase, deliver and install all specified plants. 2. Provide watering program to all trees on Municipal properties. 3. Mulch all specified plants. 4. Plant warranty. 5. Clean up and disposal of all excess and surplus material
