Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bloomer, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
In general, the project consists of road rehabilitation on CTH R between STH 64 and STH 178. Bid work will include milling for butt joints, pulverizing and relaying, fine grading for paving, hotmix asphalt paving mainline and driveways, and pavement marking. A single prime bid will be received for the work. Additional work will be performed by the Chippewa County Highway Department: culvert replacements, base widening and repair, gravel shoulders, slope and ditch grading, beamguard, topsoil, restoration, road signing, and associated items. Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and be prequalified with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for work in the class and amount of their bid or shall complete the Statement of Bidder's Qualifications and Bidders Proof of Responsibility. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of time as specified in the Special Provisions. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.
