2026 Asphalt Overlay Project in the Village of Weston, Marathon County, Wisconsin. Sealed bids will be received for the project, and contract documents may be examined or obtained from the Weston Municipal Center. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bidder's maximum bid price as a guarantee for contract execution and bond filing. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for 100% of the total bid price, will be required from the successful bidder. The Village of Weston reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or accept any bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner, and to waive irregularities or informalities in bidding. Bids must remain valid for ninety (90) days. Pre-qualification statement forms must be submitted showing sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to perform the contract in accordance with Section 66.0901(2) Wisconsin Statutes. The Village of Weston's decision regarding qualifications is final. All BIDDERS must be prequalified with the Village of Weston. The enclosed PreQualification Statement for this project must be submitted to the Village of Weston by 4 p.m. local time, Thursday, April 2, 2026, and must show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the Contract in accordance with Section 66.0901(2) Wisconsin State Statutes. The Village of Weston’s decision as to the qualifications shall be final. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal affect.
