Renovation of a military facility in Brunswick, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) requires the renovation of three barracks bathrooms at USCG Station Brunswick in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). All bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site to verify all work details and become familiar with the existing conditions under which the work will be performed prior to submitting their quotes. Failure to conduct a site visit does not relieve bidders of responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or cost of successfully performing this work. Interested vendors must download and review all attachments included in this solicitation package, including the Statement of Work (SOW), Dept. of Labor wage rates for construction, SF-1442, and applicable Provisions and Clauses. Quotes must include a detailed breakdown of estimated labor and material costs and clearly display the vendor's Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). In addition to submitting your bid on the SF-1442, please provide a brief technical proposal that demonstrates an understanding of the Statement of Work and describes the approach to fulfilling all requirements. Quotes submitted via mail or telephone will not be accepted. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to adam.s.hitchcox@uscg.mil by 5:00 PM EST on April 10, 2026. Please include the solicitation number in the subject line of the email. To maintain fairness, all questions and their corresponding answers will be posted on the solicitation no later than 5:00 PM EST on April 14, 2026, for visibility to all interested vendors. Questions submitted after the April 10 question deadline will not be answered. Complete the entire work ready for use not later than 30 calendar days The US Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking a qualified contractor to renovate THREE barracks bathrooms at USCG Station Brunswick, 2 Conservation Way, Brunswick, Georgia. Station Brunswick is a working Coast Guard Unit and will remain open during the project. Any dimensions or specifications provided in this statement of work or associated enclosures are approximations only. Bidders are responsible for visiting the site to field-verify existing conditions and determine actual dimensions and the nature of the work required. Failure to visit the site does not relinquish the bidder from determining the extent and scope of the work required and estimating the difficulty and cost to complete the project. Provide and install all new finishes and fixtures to completely renovate THREE crew barracks rooms at Station Brunswick, using finishes and fixtures that match the two bathrooms that were renovated as part of ORH FY25. Coordinate and expedite work to minimize the amount of time Coast Guard personnel will be displaced due to this project. 1. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to fulfill the requirements of this contract. 2. For each of the bid options, the Contractor shall provide the Onsite Representative with a selection of fixtures, finishes, colors, patterns, and materials for the USCG to choose from. Selection samples shall include manufacturer's cut sheets, literature, and product specifications. Fixtures, materials, and finish options provided should be modern, but not trendy, upper-mid-grade or higher in quality. Fixtures and finishes shall match those of the two bathrooms that were renovated during ORH FY25. 3. The renovation includes the replacement of the vanity (including the sink and mirror), replacement of the floor and wall tile, replacement of the toilet, painting, replacement of all fixtures including shower head, faucets, towel bars, toilet paper holder, vents, louvers, and lighting. 4. Some bathrooms are equipped with a wall-mounted soap dispenser, medicine cabinet, or paper-towel dispensers. These fixtures shall be demolished and not replaced. 5. Plumbing Fixtures: Use low flow plumbing fixtures designated as Environmental Protection Agency WaterSense. 6. Vanity/Sink: The vanity is to be durable and low maintenance and constructed from high-quality moisture-resistant cabinet or furniture grade plywood (face grade A or B) or solid hardwoods. Particle board, MDF, or OSB is not permitted. Countertops and backsplashes shall be durable and low maintenance solid surface i.e., quartz, or Corian, etc. Sink shall be under-mounted or one-piece to maximize available counter surface. 7. Shower: The stainless-steel shower shall be replaced with a high-quality modern three or four-piece insert made of durable solid-surface and low maintenance materials that minimize grout and caulk lines e.g., Inpro Prism, or equal. The shower shall be equipped with a shower curtain rod. The shower renovation will require demolition down to the studs and replacing the drywall and shower base with waterproof cement-board or equivalent. 8. Toilet: Toilets shall feature a skirted or concealed trapways for a modern appearance and to facilitate cleaning. The size of the toilet must allow for clearance when opening and closing the door. Toilet seats shall feature soft-close hinges. 9. Tile (floors and walls): The contractor shall provide options that present a modern appearance while minimizing grout lines and maximizing durability and ease of maintenance. The floor tile in the toilet and shower area is to be extended through the door into of the vanity area and suitable transitions installed (remove carpet in vanity area). Depending on the timing of contract award and execution, several spaces adjacent to the work area for this project may be undergoing renovations by other contractors, and these renovations will include the installation of Luxurious Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring tile. Close coordination with the onsite Coast Guard representatives and other contractors will be required to ensure that both projects can proceed without undue interruption, and that the transition between the tile floor that will be installed under this project and the LVP flooring in adjacent areas is completed in a professional manner. 10.Paint: Paint shall be satin and mildew resistant/suitable for high moisture areas e.g., Banjamin Moore Aura or equal. 11.Disposal of all debris generated by this project is included. 12.Incidental work items not specifically listed in this scope, but necessary to complete the project shall be included.
