The Public Works Department is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide on-call signing and striping services on an as-needed basis. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, installation and maintenance of traffic signs, pavement striping and markings, removal of existing markings, traffic control, and related services. Multiple contracts may be awarded to establish a bench of pre-qualified contractors. Proposers are not required to perform all services and may submit proposals for selected portions of the work based on their qualifications and capabilities. Work will be assigned through task orders issued at the City’s discretion. Service Categories include: - Striping & Pavement Markings (installation and maintenance of pavement striping and markings) - Sign Fabrication (fabrication of regulatory, warning, and guide signs) - Sign Installation and Repair (installation, replacement, and maintenance of traffic signs and associated hardware) - Removal of Striping and Signage (removal of existing pavement markings and signage) - Traffic Control (provision of traffic control necessary to safely perform work in the public right-of-way) - Emergency Response (urgent or unplanned work requiring immediate response) Proposers may submit for one or more Service Categories and must clearly indicate which categories they are proposing, providing relevant qualifications and pricing for those categories only. Each proposal will be evaluated only on the Service Categories for which the proposer has submitted qualifications and pricing. Proposers will not be penalized for proposing on fewer than all categories. Where applicable, evaluation of experience, approach, and pricing will be based on the relevance and quality of the proposer’s submission within their selected scope. Instructions to bidders include providing applicable professional licenses and registrations, company experience, a proposal summary, approach and timeline, description of capability and quality control/assurance, references, staff resources, acknowledgment of the City's Professional Services Agreement, disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest, and a detailed cost proposal broken down by service category and unit prices. The proposal and cost schedule must be valid for ninety (90) days following the proposal due date and will become part of any contract negotiated.
