Site work for a civil project in New Albany, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the Martintown North Industrial Park, including the installation of a 250,000 Gallon Elevated Tank and approximately 2675 LF of C900 Water Pipe. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and must include the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number if the sum exceeds $50,000. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an accepted Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Not less than the minimum salaries and wages set in the Contract Documents must be paid, and the contractor must ensure non-discrimination in employment practices. This project is financed by an MDA-SDG Grant and subject to its rules and regulations. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid and inquire about subcontracting and supply opportunities. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act, paying prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. Union County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, and bids may be held for up to 90 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications before awarding the contract.
