Union County will receive sealed term bids for the supply and delivery of various county road materials and services for the specified period. The supplies and services include: slag and aggregate at the plant (multiple specified sizes), liquid asphalt delivered, liquid emulsions for cold mix production, cold mix mixed onsite (with county supplying rock), cold mix pick-up by county trucks, bituminous hot mix at the plant (with plant located within 50 miles of New Albany, MS), bituminous hot mix laid in place (county furnishing and delivering mix), bituminous hot mix delivered and laid in place (county furnishing mix), complete labor and delivery of bituminous hot mix (start to finish job, price per ton based on MDOT Index), reclamation (pulverization and mixing of sub-grade/asphalt per Special Provision 907-424, with specified mixing depth and cement content; alternatives for curing and traffic control specified), Portland cement in place for soil cement and soil cement water mixing per the appropriate Mississippi Standard Specifications, and traffic striping and raised pavement markers (multiple paint and thermoplastic options, all materials and work to be in compliance with State Aid Road and Bridge Construction specifications). All required materials, insurance, performance and payment bonds, and Certificates of Responsibility must be provided by the vendor, with the certificate number displayed on the bid envelope or electronic submission. All bids should be signed, dated, and submitted on company letterhead. Electronic and sealed paper bids are accepted, with further instructions provided for both. Testing of materials, if needed, will be performed by the County Engineer at the County's expense and must meet the relevant Mississippi Standard Specifications. The successful contractor is responsible for all maintenance of traffic and striping during the work period.
