Site work for a water / sewer project in New Albany, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes the installation of 6" Polyethylene Gas Main by open cut or horizontal directional drilling bore (17,100 linear feet), 6" HDD bores (3,500 linear feet), 6" pipeline crossing (160 linear feet), 6" ball valves (8 each), 6" hot tap fittings (2 each), 3/4 " or 1/2 " service taps and connections (17 each), pipeline markers (80 each), purge and blowdown (1 lump sum), temporary silt fence (1,200 linear feet), and seeding & mulching (34,200 square yards). Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom bid packets have been issued and whose name appears on the official list of plan holders. The successful bidder must have a Gas Operator Qualification Program and provide required employee records. Each bidder must deposit bid security as detailed in the instructions. Surety bonds are required at contract execution. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after opening. All applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations apply. Bidders are responsible for site inspection and thorough review of all contract documents. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder providing the best value. The successful bidder must have his own Gas Operator Qualification Program and related employee records, as required by the Code of Federal Regulations for Gas Pipeline Safety. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions for Bidders. For Bidders submitting bids electronically, the bond submitted must be either a bond issued by the Surety in electronic format or the original hard copy of the bid bond must be submitted to the City of New Albany Light, Gas & Water (Owner), 101 W. Bankhead Street, New Albany, Mississippi 38652, prior to bid opening in order for the bid to be valid. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish surety bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to this Bid. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Contract award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder who provides the best value to the City of New Albany. The City of New Albany reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. INTERPRETATIONS AND ADDENDA Should a Bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the specifications or other contract documents, or should he be in doubt as to the meaning of any part thereof, he should at once submit by email to Jackie Cruse at jcruse@nalgw.com , a written request for an interpretation.
