Site work for a water / sewer project in New Albany, Mississippi. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The selected firm or individual will provide engineering services through the design and construction documents phase, and potentially through to project close-out, if the city needs further construction oversight. The scope of work may include: preparing and presenting a conceptual design plan and projected cost estimate of the proposed project; preparing and assisting with applications for potential grant opportunities or loans; preparing plans, specifications, and a unit price cost estimate for the proposed project, including all services required for design and engineering phases (field data collection, preliminary engineering, final design); potentially preparing and distributing bid packets to meet all Federal and State requirements; potentially assisting in bid opening and preparation of bid tabulation; potentially assisting in getting executed contracts in place; potentially conducting preconstruction conferences with contractors and city representatives; potentially conducting on-site inspections, submitting progress reports, and signing off on contractor pay requests; and providing any other necessary services for project execution as requested by the city (including consultations, surveys, supervision, as-builts/record drawings, easements, quality assurance, materials testing, inspection services, construction engineering, and incidental costs). Qualifications will be evaluated based on design team qualifications, experience with similar projects—including a description and dollar amount of completed projects—and capacity for performance (availability of team members). The City reserves the right to reject any or all qualifications and may, at its discretion, require design services only or both design and construction engineering and inspection services.
