Sealed bids are requested for the construction project identified as D.A. Biglane Road Reconstruction for the Town of Vidalia. All bids must be on the proper form and display the contractor's license number on the outside of the envelope. Late bids will not be considered. Only bidders registered with the Engineer and who have obtained the official Bid Documents may submit a bid. Contractors are responsible for the reproduction of these documents and must hold an active State License of the proper classification. The project is classified as highway, street, and bridge construction. Plans and specifications remain available to bidders up to twenty-four hours before the bid opening. The deposit for each bid, including the bid bond, must meet the requirements set in the Information for Bidders, with bid bonds provided by approved sureties or insurance companies as specified. Question Deadline 04/13/2026 Any interpretation of the bid documents shall be in writing addressed to Bryant Hammett & Associates, L.L.C. at 6885 Hwy. 84 West, Ferriday, LA 71334 or emailed to medwards@bhaengineers.com and to be given consideration must be received at least ten days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. No communication after this date. Contractors may withdraw a bid within 48 hours after opening, under certain error conditions. Bids will be valid for forty-five days after opening unless extended by mutual agreement. Any requests for interpretation of bid documents must be made in writing ten days prior to bid opening. Mobilization and procurement must begin within ten working days after receiving Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder must execute the Standard Form of Agreement/Contract for construction, and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten working days after the Notice of Award. All contractors awarded the contract must attend a monthly meeting with required project personnel to review progress and discuss issues.
