The project involves the addition of furniture at Waukee High School, 555 SE University Ave, Waukee, Iowa. Lump-sum bids are requested for furniture supply and installation. Construction may begin following Owner receipt and approval of required contracts, bonds, and insurance. The Owner requires that the project be substantially complete on or before the stipulated completion date. Bidders are responsible for timely submission of bids to the correct location. Bidding documents may be examined online or obtained with a refundable deposit. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's or certified check, or certified share draft of not less than five percent of the base price/sum is required. The successful bidder must furnish a certificate of insurance and performance and labor and material payment bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bids are irrevocable for 30 days after submission. The project is tax-exempt; do not include Iowa State Sales Tax. Bidders should give preference to products and provisions produced or grown within Iowa. Resident bidders may receive a preference against nonresidents if preference is given in the nonresident's home state. All bidders must provide a statement regarding resident status on a designated form. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or irregularities allowed by law.
