The Town of Crystal Lake, Marquette County, requests bids for two separate paving projects, with bids to be quoted separately. Project 1: Duck Creek Avenue from the intersection of County Road N heading west for approximately 6345 linear feet. Work includes fine grading and shaping of base with sufficient water for cohesion, shaping base surface for new asphaltic pavement, and laying asphaltic mixture under a 2-pass system. The first layer uses 3LT 58-285 as binder, compacted to 2 inches and a surface width of 20 feet or an agreed-upon width if 20 feet is not attainable. The second layer uses 4LT 56-285 material at a compacted thickness of 1.5 inches. Project 2: Duck Creek Road from the intersection of Duck Creek Avenue heading south for approximately 3000 linear feet. Work includes fine grading and shaping of base with sufficient water for cohesion, shaping base surface for new asphaltic pavement, and laying asphaltic mixture using a one-pass system of 4LT 58-285 material at 3 inches compacted thickness and a surface width of 18.5 feet or an agreed-upon width if 18.5 feet is not attainable. Both projects require a 2-foot shoulder compacted for the full project length. Driveways should have a one-foot bump out with shouldering material for smooth and solid entrances to the roadway. Butt joints must be cut on both project ends. The contractor is responsible for proper signage, may use temporary closure as needed, and no detour routes are to be designated. Bids must be sealed. Should project cost exceed $65,000.00, an engineering certificate is required. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town.
