Removal and replacement of windows at Elk Rapids High School and Lakeland Elementary School, as well as removal and replacement of window shades at these schools. Sealed bids must comply with the listed specifications and be received in the office of the Elk Rapids School's Central Office, 308 Meguzee Point Rd, Elk Rapids, MI 49629, on or before 12 pm on April 17, 2026. Bids must be mailed or delivered in person and be marked "High School and Elementary School Window/Shade Removal/Replacement" on the face of the envelope. Contractors must submit a list of two references for similar school projects, including name, address, phone number, and contact person. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities, and to make the award in the best interest of the district. Glazing: Comply with Section 08 80 00 "Glazing". Hardware, General: Provide manufacturer's standard hardware fabricated from aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel complying with AAMA 907, or other con-osion-resistant material compatible with adjacent materials; designed to smoothly operate, tightly close, and securely lock windows, and sized to accommodate sash weight and dimensions. Horizontal Sliding Window Hardware: o Sill Cap/Track: Extmded-aluminum track finislied to match window frames of dimensions and profile indicated to comply with performance requirements indicated and to drain to the exterior. o Locks and Latches: Allow unobstmcted movement of the sash across adjacent sash in the direction indicated and operated from the inside only.
