Renovation of a library in Randolph, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Sealed bids are requested for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Kimball Public Library Dome Restoration project. The work includes removing sheet metal cladding, flashing, and trim down to, but not including, the sheathing unless otherwise noted; abating identified hazardous materials and removing lead-containing materials as indicated; replacing sheet metal cladding, flashing, and trim, including replacing sheathing where indicated and providing underlayment; salvaging and installing patterned glass and copper cresting at the skylight; removing coating from cresting in a shop prior to installation; and preparing and painting iron brackets at copper cresting and other work as indicated on the drawings. Each bid must be accompanied by a security of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the date of opening. All work must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, specifically the Secretary's Standards for Rehabilitation.
