Site work for a fire / police facility in High Point, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.

Sealed proposals are invited for the Fire Station 1 Generator Installation Project. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete installation of a new standby generator (Model: SG175), ensuring all aspects of the installation comply with current Building, Gas, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Fire Codes, as well as any other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). All miscellaneous work related to the above is included. Quantities and major work items are described more thoroughly in the documents. General contractors must observe applicable regulations for the practice of general contracting. The City of High Point reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted. Questions concerning this bid are due in writing via email by: April 20, 2026 by 12:00 PM to the attention of Libby Rush at Libby.Rush@highpointnc.gov The winning bidder shall be responsible for the following: o Rigging and Placement: Transport and placement of the generator at the designated site on the property. While the vendor may select their preferred equipment, a Lull with fork attachments is recommended for this site. o Concrete Pad Construction: Installation of a level concrete pad sized to the unit's exterior dimensions and weight. o Electrical Integration: The pad must include an encased 120V / 15-amp GFCI outlet. This outlet must be positioned within the inner casing of the generator to provide power to the engine block warmer. o Utility Coordination: * Coordinate with City Utilities to manage the disconnection of existing services and the upgrade of the gas meter to a highflow model. o Installation of all necessary gas and electrical utility connections. o All exterior gas lines must be finished with approved rust-inhibitive paint. o Site Survey: As building plans are unavailable, the vendor is responsible for all onsite measurements and site surveys during the scheduled Pre-Bid Meeting. o Decommissioning: Removal of the existing generator from the basement. The unit must be placed on a department-provided pallet and moved to a designated onsite location (e.g., the rear parking lot) for future haul-away.
