Sealed bids are invited for the Calimesa Library ADA Improvement Project, Phase II. The work must be completed within thirty working days after authorization and involves tasks specified in the contract documents. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the site before bidding. The contractor is required to schedule a preconstruction meeting involving the County of Riverside Housing and Workforce Solutions, who will present labor, payment, and Federal requirements. Subcontractors and suppliers to be listed in the bid must attend. The successful bidder must self-perform at least fifty percent of the contract work, excluding designated specialty items. The project is funded with Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements, including Section 3 Economic Opportunities, Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Federal Labor Standards Provisions, and Executive Order #11246. Bidders must comply with federal minimum wage rate requirements as set forth for the project. Bidders' site inspection is encouraged to view the existing repair prior to bidding. The general items of work may include permits, clearing, grubbing, grading, construction of concrete curb and sidewalks, removal and construction of concrete pavement and improvements as required to construct the required improvements and all items not mentioned but indicated in the Plans, Specifications, and the Special Provisions within the Contract Documents.
