Renovation of an educational facility in Newton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,563-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
SCCC Horton Mansion Renovation Phase 1 - Asbestos Abatement, # 26-04-0001. Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished by the College and may be hand delivered or mailed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Bid title and number. No bid will be accepted after the designated time and date. Bids transmitted electronically will not be accepted. Bid proposals must include the required forms as designated in the bid specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in a form satisfactory to the College, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000.00, that if the bid is awarded to the bidder, bidder will enter into a contract for the performance of the work. Bids may be rejected if the required documents are not included with the proposal. By submitting a proposal, the bidder covenants and agrees that they have satisfied themselves from their own investigation of the conditions to be met, that they fully understand their obligations, and that they will not make any claim for, or have the right to cancellation or relief without penalty of the contract because of any misunderstanding or lack of information. If any discrepancies or omissions appear in the specifications, the bidder shall notify the College, in writing, of any such discrepancy or omission. All of the general terms and conditions applicable will be a part of any contract awarded as a result of this proposal as fully and to the same extent as if copied at the length therein. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. The College Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor irregularities or informalities in the bids and to accept the bid, which in their judgment, will best serve the interest of the College. Questions regarding interpretation, clarification, or changes in the bid specifications must be directed in writing (via email) no later than Friday, April 10th, 2026 to Matthew Stoppay at publicbids@sussex.edu.
