MKE Runway Removals Project This project includes pavement removal of runways and rehabilitation of taxiways at General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The work consists of substantial grading, concrete removal, construction of sewer and underdrains, concrete and asphalt work, landscaping, pavement marking, and airfield electrical changes. All bidders must meet the minimum software requirements of the bidding website and be able to view, enter, scan, and upload PDF files to submit a bid. Bidders must ensure Affirmative Action requirements for Equal Employment Opportunity are met, as detailed in the bid documents. Prime contractors must be qualified prior to submitting a bid according to Chapter 43 of the Milwaukee County Ordinance. All bids must include a completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry form, and a 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with the bid. The lowest responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid, waive informalities, or accept the bid deemed in the owner's best interest.
