Sealed lump-sum bids are requested for Interior Upgrades to the South Middle School Building at 2350 SE LA Grant Parkway, Waukee, Iowa, for General Construction. Construction may begin after required contracts, bonds, and insurance are approved. Project substantial completion is required before July 31, 2026. Bids must be submitted before the stated deadline and will be opened publicly thereafter. Question Deadline 04/14/2026 Direct questions in writing to the Architect/Engineer. Bidders are responsible for timely submission to the correct location. Secure bidding documents online or at designated builders exchanges, and may obtain copies for a refundable deposit. Bid security of no less than 5 percent of the Base Price/Sum is required, payable to the Waukee Community School District. This security may be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to enter a contract and post bond within 10 days of award. The successful bidder must provide insurance and both Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Bids are irrevocable for 30 days after submission. The project is tax exempt; do not include Iowa State Sales Tax in bid totals. Prefer products and provisions grown or produced in Iowa. Resident bidders are given preference against nonresidents from states or countries that themselves give preference to their own bidders or require labor force preferences. All bidders must provide a completed Bidder Status Form per Iowa Department of Labor requirements. Failure to supply this form may result in rejection. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities as allowed by law.
