The project consists of full width milling and surface overlay on Kelly Street, Burke Street, and Rear River Street, as well as all incidental work related thereto. All construction work is included in one Prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis with alternate bids as indicated in the Bid Form. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount equal to 10% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price, furnished in accordance with the instructions to bidders, along with all required forms, statements, affidavits, and certifications as listed in Article 7 of each Bid Form. Minimum wages and salaries must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price. The Plains Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the owner for up to sixty days for review and bidder qualification prior to awarding the contract. Bidder(s) attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum wages and salaries in accordance with provisions of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 and contained in the Bidding/Contract Documents, must be paid throughout the duration of the Contract.
