The City of Grants, New Mexico is requesting sealed proposals from qualified firms for the construction of the Truman Park Basketball Court Project. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 2026 Truman Park Basketball Court. Proposals must be clearly marked as "SEALED PROPOSAL RFP 2026 - TRUMAN PARK BASKETBALL COURT." Electronic or emailed proposals will not be accepted. Notice of Intent to Award: On or about June 4, 2026 (or as soon thereafter as practicable) The City of Grants is seeking proposals from qualified construction companies for the Truman Park Basketball Court Project. Deadline for Questions: April 21, 2026 (5:00 PM MST) The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the project. Site Preparation _ Mobilization and layout verification _ Subgrade preparation and compaction _ Proof rolling and grading as necessary _ Maintain approximately 1% slope for drainage _ Demolition of the previous slab completed by others Concrete Basketball Court Construction _ 100 ft. x 55 ft. reinforced concrete slab _ 6-inch thick concrete slab _ Minimum 4,000 PSI concrete _ Wire mesh reinforcement throughout the slab _ #4 rebar perimeter reinforcement _ Perimeter footer approximately 12 inches wide and 10 inches deep _ Light broom finish suitable for athletic use _ Install control joints and expansion joints _ Cure concrete per ACI standards Crusher Fines Installation _ Provide approximately 140 tons of crusher fines _ Spread and compact along court edges _ Blend grading with the surrounding park surface _ Ensure positive drainage away from the slab Basketball Goals _ Clean existing basketball goals _ Prepare surfaces and repaint _ Restore goals to professional condition Court Striping Stripe the basketball court according to standard basketball court dimensions using exterior athletic surface paint. Bench Reinstallation Reinstall two existing park benches and ensure secure installation. The Project must be constructed in compliance with Commercial Building Code, Existing Building Code, Commercial Energy Conservation Code, Electrical Code, Plumbing and Mechanical Code.
