New construction of a sidewalk / parking lot in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,400-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot.
The project involves the construction of approximately 1,400 square feet of new concrete by qualified contractors. The project is funded with federal Community Development Block Grant funds. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the city, and all bids must be sealed and labeled accordingly. The project requires compliance with federal labor standards, including the Copeland Anti-Kickback legislation, federal equal opportunity requirements, and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Minority, Women, and Handicapped business owned enterprises, as well as Section 3 business concerns, are encouraged to bid. The City of Swartz Creek reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the interest of the city.
