Site work and paving for a road / highway in Etna, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists, in general, of rehabilitating an existing city street and incidental work. Major items of work include approximately 1,000 tons of HMA paving, 2,200 tons of Class 2 aggregate base rock, and 7,000 square yards of filter fabric and paving grid. Bids must be submitted for the entire work and must comply with the Instructions to Bidders included in the contract documents. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or other security as set forth in the instructions. The contractor must have a current and active California Contractor's License, Class "A" (General Engineering Contractor). Bidder's security must be in the amount of 10% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a labor and material bond and a faithful performance bond, each for 100% of the contract price. This is a public works project, and the contractor must comply fully with all California labor laws and pay prevailing wages. The City of Etna reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities, except as forbidden by law. The project start is contingent upon completion of underground work by Pacific Power within the project limits; the Notice to Proceed will not be issued until confirmation is received from Pacific Power.
