Start Date: Summer/Fall 2025 Duration: 540 calendar days General work description: The project consists of improvements to an existing surface water treatment plant including the addition of (2) - 400 gpm absorption clarifier (AC) filter units, new 40'x 50' steel moment framed filter building, new emergency generator, new filter backwash pumping system, site grading, conversion of Reservoir No. 1 to backwash ponds, new electrical and controls systems, and other ancillary civil and mechanical improvements. The major components of the Project include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. This list is not exhaustive, and is provided for general reference only: 1. Installation of emergency backup generator and controls. 2. Installation of a new 6' high chain link perimeter security fence. 3. Demolition and removal of existing pressure media filters, filter train piping, Reservoir No 1 piping building and existing underground WTP piping. 4. Conversion of existing underground Reservoir No 1 to filter backwash ponds with decant pump system. 5. Installation of a new backwash wet well and pump system for filter backwash with treated water. 6. Construction of a 40'x50' metal building and the associated AC filter units, chemical feed systems, tanks, pumps, electrical equipment, and other associated equipment. 7. Installation of a new finished water wet well for filter building water supply and chlorine monitoring. 8. Site grading, ADA parking, and drainage improvements.
