Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the complete installation of synthetic grass surface at Lotito Parks Splash Pad. The system shall consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, synthetic grass with fibers a minimum of 1.54 inch long; turf fiber construction of polyethylene monofilament and either texturized monofilament fibers tufted to a 2-layer stabilized woven polypropylene fabric (primary backing), with a non-urethane, 100% recyclable secondary backing (stitch binder) of DuraFlo (XGrass synthetic turf or equivalent); and synthetic grass infill of anti-microbial acrylic coated round silica particles. The area encompasses 3,702 square feet outside the splash pad concrete. Work includes excavation of 45 cubic yards of topsoil, installation of 640 linear ft of border, placement of 75-80 tons of 4" thick compacted and leveled aggregate, installation of specified turf rolls, fastening and trimming, application of infill, and disposal of 10 loads of excess topsoil. Quantities are estimated and must be verified on site by the bidder. A one-year installation warranty and ten-year product warranty are required. Submit a list of similar projects and references, scope and outline of work with time frame, proposed total price, and material specifications and quantities. Green color, artificial turf for high traffic areas, proper drainage, and antimicrobial shield or equivalent required. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked as specified. Faxed or emailed proposals are not accepted. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit. The City reserves the right to contract with one or more firms as deemed in its best interest.
