Sealed proposals are invited for the Russellville High School Band and Auditorium Fire Alarm. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Russellville City Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents will be required upon signing of the contract. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of the Architect, Ward Scott Morris Architecture, and at TuscaBlue. Bid documents may be obtained from TuscaBlue via www.ward-scottplans.com upon deposit, which is refundable under certain conditions. Electronic PDF copies are available free of charge. Bid bonds must be issued by an acceptable bonding company licensed in the state and must guarantee that the bidder shall not withdraw the bid for sixty days after the scheduled closing time and that, if accepted, the bidder will enter into a formal contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect. All bidders bidding over the threshold established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and evidence of license must be shown on the outside of the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is in their best interest. Nonresident bidders must include a written opinion from an attorney licensed in their state regarding business preference laws.
