Renovation of an educational facility in Cresson, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
You are invited to submit sealed bids for asbestos abatement at the Penn Cambria School District, Penn Cambria High School in Cresson PA. The work will include all labor, materials, equipment, insurances, permits, certifications, removal, transportation, and disposal of asbestos containing materials. Sealed bids will be received at the Penn Cambria School District Business Office. All bids will remain firm for 60 days from the date of award. Keystone Environmental Health and Safety Services, Inc. will be the owner's representative for the asbestos abatement. Notice is hereby given that the Penn Cambria School District will receive sealed bids for the following project: Asbestos Abatement Containing Floor Tile and Mastic Removal and Thermal Systems Insulation Removal at the Penn Cambria High School All questions must be received no later than April 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM and a response will be given to each potential bidder by May 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The following is the Scope of Work, at a minimum, required to be performed in the work areas. 1. Removal and disposal of all specified asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and specified non-ACM materials. This shall include all asbestos-containing materials noted in Section 1.03[A] of this section. 2. Work area preparations, including pre-cleaning, installation of critical barriers and polyethylene sheeting, construction of decontamination facilities, work area enclosures, sealing, isolation, and other activities as directed by the Owner or Consultant. 3. Installation and operation of HEPA filtration units in accordance with Section 3.02[C] of this Section. 4. Removal and disposal of asbestos containing floor tile and associated mastics along with non-asbestos containing cove base and carpeting where applicable, as identified in Section 1.03, in accordance with Section 3.02. 5. Decontamination and clean up following removal activities in each designated work area. 6. Performance of any other work or activities required by this Specification, applicable regulations, or as necessary to perform a complete job to the satisfaction of the Owner, and Consultant. 7. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as all requirements set forth in these Specifications and facility requirements.
