Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of the project is to furnish, install, maintain, and remove permanent pavement markings, which include lines, symbols, and legends on City of Dubuque streets as directed by the City Engineer. The work also includes portions of Iowa DOT highway pavement markings as directed by the City Engineer. Each bidder must accompany their bid with a bid security in the amount of ten percent of the contract amount, in the form of a cashiers check, certified check, certified share draft, or Bid Bond with corporate surety. No conditions except those specified will be accepted for Bid Bonds. State of Iowa sales tax should not be included in the bid; a sales tax exemption certificate will be available for materials purchased in Iowa for the project. Preference will be given to Iowa products and labor as required by statute. Copies of contract documents may be obtained at the Engineering Department or the City's website. There will be no pre-bid construction conference. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Targeted Small Business, and federal prevailing wage requirements are not applicable for this project. The City affirms a non-discrimination policy regarding minority business enterprises in the bidding process. a Bidder must deliver written requeststo the Engineer at least seven (7) working days before the sealed Bid is due.
