This Request for Proposals is an invitation by the Toronto District School Board to firms licensed in Ontario with the necessary skill, experience, judgement, and resources to provide Mechanical Consultant Services on an as-and-when-required basis to support renewal projects. Selected proponents will work with the Board, and may collaborate with other consultants, municipalities, and regulatory bodies. They may be required to represent the Board in project development, planning, tendering, and contract management. The consulting firms must be authorized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario to provide mechanical consulting services. The contract term is three years with options for three additional one-year extensions. This opportunity does not apply to major capital projects such as new school construction or major additions. Proponents must submit mandatory information, including full business details, company background, an overview of relevant services, years in business, recent gross annual sales, a Certificate of Authorization from PEO, a statement of non-litigation with TDSB, a letter of good standing from their bank, evidence of required insurance coverages, a current WSIB clearance certificate, and acknowledgement allowing verification with PEO. Evaluation will be based on company background and business information, related experience of team members, methodology and project management, contract administration experience, fee schedule, sample technical documentation, and similar project experience with references. A minimum total score of 50 points out of 100 is required to be prequalified.
