Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Frenchtown, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and municipal facility.

As per the Owner the project has been cancelled. This project will be rebid on a later date that has not yet been determined. The project consists of the installation of two backup generators, one at the Frenchtown Pumping Station and one at the Frenchtown DPW Facility, as delineated on the Bid Plans. Work includes utility trenching for electrical conduits, reinforced concrete pads to support the generators, and all other improvements depicted within the Bid Documents. All work must be completed within sixty calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, and addressed to the Borough of Frenchtown. Each proposal must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and either a bid bond or a certified check for not less than ten percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of the project. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified according to the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except those deemed mandatory and non-waivable by law. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including affirmative action and public disclosure provisions. Doc Notes: Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail address. In the e-mail message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy. . Paper copies will be sent via UPS or Fedex if the contractor provides UPS or Fedex account information to defray the cost of this shipping method. Otherwise, paper copies will be sent via USPS. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work (the "Contract Documents", which have been prepared by John Rengepis, P.E. for electric and Robert Gould, P.E. for plumbing, of the firm Pennoni Associates, Inc.), are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier by making a request to tmontanino@pennoni.com and will be on file at the below date in the Borough of Frenchtown, Borough Hall located at 29 Second Street, Frenchtown, New Jersey 08825. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway."
