Sealed bids are invited for the Wastewater Treatment Plant A Basin A-02 Sewer Rehabilitation project. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate form, either electronically or on paper, and must display the contractor's license number on the envelope for paper submissions. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates, issued by an approved surety company. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must be properly licensed as required for hazardous materials or other classifications, as specified. Bids will be evaluated on the lowest responsible bid that complies with specifications. Attention is drawn to compliance with conditions of employment, minimum wage rates under the Davis-Bacon Act, Section 3 requirements, non-discrimination provisions, and all applicable federal and state laws. Minority-owned firms, small businesses, and/or Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is non-mandatory. Bidders are required to state that they have inspected and are familiar with the project site. No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening date, except as prescribed by relevant statutes. Bids not meeting requirements will be rejected.
