The project consists of the replacement of hangar door E6 and associated work. Contractors intending on submitting a bid must purchase contract documents from Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, at a non-refundable cost per set. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond from a surety company acceptable to The Elizabethton Municipal Airport Authority or a cashier's check or certified check made payable to The Elizabethton Municipal Airport Authority for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A 100% Contract Bond will be required of the successful Contractor. All bidders shall be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and all amendments thereto in effect on the date of receipt of bids. All bidders must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, in particular Chapter 6 regarding preparation of bid envelope. The proposal, which shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, shall be clearly labeled on the outside of the envelope with the name of the project, Contractor's name and address and license number, classification, expiration date, and the date and time of the Bid Opening. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required in order to be eligible to submit a bid. The Elizabethton Municipal Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any formalities and informalities in the proposals received, and to accept any proposal which in its opinion may be in their best interest.
