Site work for a development in Burt, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a conservation development.
This project is for a traditional breakpoint nutrient reduction wetland. The work involves, but is not limited to, selective clearing, excavation, grading, steel sheetpile installation, tile installation, water control structure, and seeding. The project includes approximately 12,900 cubic yards of earthwork, installation of 1,444 square feet of steel sheetpile, water control structure, 515 linear feet of tile installation, 91 linear feet of drawdown pipe, 548 tons of riprap, 108 cubic yards of concrete grout, and 17 acres of seeding. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid forms and include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Bidders must be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance/Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities. The estimated construction cost range for this project is $350,000 to $450,000.
