Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a two-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project consists of a 2-story addition and partial renovations to the existing Norristown Area High School including associated site improvements, plumbing, sprinkler and electrical trades. Site improvements include site demolition, erosion control measures, minor site grading, storm water management systems, sanitary sewers, new fire water service entrance, paving, walks, curbs, landscaping and other miscellaneous site improvements. A separate contract has already been signed to perform site work associated with construction of the new bus loop. This work will be going on throughout the summer of 2026. The new addition shall be a steel framed structure with spread footings, brick and metal panel facade with aluminum curtainwall and storefront, and an EPDM roof. Interior finishes shall include drywall partitions, acoustic ceilings, terrazzo, resilient and epoxy resin flooring, tile and painted walls. Fixtures shall include toilet partitions and accessories, plastic laminate casework, and visual display boards. Prime Bidders' proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the form included with the bidding documents. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities, defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, or irregularities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to make awards as may be deemed in its best interest. Questions will be accepted until end of day, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. All addenda, except addenda extending the bid deadline, will be issued no later than Friday, May 8, 2026.
