The contract generally includes work on the following roads: French Hill Road (two segments), Congress Street, and Lord Road in the Town of Saint Albans. The work involves: supplying and installing 2,389 tons of Type II Bituminous Concrete Pavement, supplying and installing 2,301 tons of Type IV Bituminous Concrete Pavement, reclaiming 16,987 square yards of existing pavement, cold planing 10,266 square yards of existing pavement up to 1.5-inches thick, and providing flaggers and traffic control per MUTCD. Sealed bids prepared on Town forms are required. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount, either as a bid bond or certified check. The contractor must execute the contract and file acceptable performance, labor, and material payment bonds within ten days after the award. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids. The contractor agrees to complete all work by the specified completion date and begin work no earlier than the specified start date. One payment request may be submitted upon full project completion.
